newpost | Now focus...

It's hard to direct your attention to one thing when society has offered us tools and platforms for multi-tasking every single thing you can think of. "Picture in a picture plasma widescreen HD TV's", "cellphones that can take pictures, send text messages, make phone calls and GPS navigate you anywhere you wanna go at the same time". The extra effort it once took to kill two birds with one stone has become a part of the past. Technology has made it easier to accomplish more, with less work, but harder to concentrate on one thing at a time. And this may be one of the reasons many people around us, and sometimes we oursleves are not content with our personal circumstances, We've developed a tendency to expect alot more, alot more of the time - forgoing satisfaction, for supply on demand. But, when we choose our priorities and decide what is  most important to us, we can avoid the pitfalls of discontent and unhappiness by zeroing in on a specific focal point. Not so sure? Then try thinking of it this way; isn't it easier to overlook what you don't have when you get what it is you really want...? Now focus on what you really want.
