newpost | Do it.

Why do so many tasks go uncompleted..?

Our perception of their importance?
Our lack of focus?
Our thrill of procrastinating?

Yup, all of the above. And, none without the other.
Add a divided or short attention span and it accelerates
the amount of time we leave other things undone.
and not without us unjustly and unconsciously labelling
these other things as less important - at that moment.
And who hasn't felt the "buzz" of adrenaline rushing
through their veins during the last minute thralls of
procrastination? Sometimes it works, but it can be
draining and ruin our time management. Ok, so now what?

- Just get to it, In fact: stop reading this and go do
whatever it was you put off doing to read this,
it's probably more important. - @troymonaco

newpost | You Can.

We can become better people when we do things because we want to not because we have to, The reward in life isn't just in winning, succeeding or doing better than everyone else, part of the reward is being able to share the experience, acknowledge the hard work and effort, and as an added bonus be recognized for it by a group of our peers. I haven't met anyone who was happy about having to work twice as hard as everyone else, but I know many people who will tell you how much better they are for it. So as we move forward into 2010, take a chance on yourself, bet that you are capable of being the best, prove that the only limits in life are the ones you put on yourself and go out and show everyone that anything you put your mind to is possible! You can do it. - @troymonaco

newpost | Being satisifed...

by @troymonaco

Being satisfied is never easy, especially if we haven't figured out what will keep us content and happy - not that any one thing will ever bring complete happiness. But, what is it that brings a true sense of contentment? Daily pursuits and accomplishments? Helping others? Is it fulfilling your dreams or having everything you could ever want?

I believe that whatever it is that makes your soul feel enriched while generating a pure feeling of joy in your heart, and not just your physical being, is probably the truest form of satisfaction; and whatever you can do to obtain that uplifting sensation (Oprah referred to it on a recent show as "joy rising") is where you will find your deepest and truest satisfaction, guaranteed.

newpost | Appreciating time, is a virtue...

by @troymonaco

"Appreciating Time" is a virtue, patience is just a part of the process. When you're waiting for something to happen time can seem to come to a stand still. That's when some sunny side up person will say: "relax, things take time", or even better "patience is a virtue". It's not that we don't know how to be patient, but even in doing so there's a level of anxiety that can't seem to be controlled. But, rather than dwelling hopelessly in the void that exists between what you're "waiting for" and "it" to happen, take the opportunity to utilize those moments for more important things like "living in them".Why let that time go to waste worrying, being unhappy about it or just "trying to be patient", go ahead and use that time the best way you can until it's finally "your time". And remember; you can't get a refund on how you spend your time, so spend it wisely.

newpost | Now focus...

It's hard to direct your attention to one thing when society has offered us tools and platforms for multi-tasking every single thing you can think of. "Picture in a picture plasma widescreen HD TV's", "cellphones that can take pictures, send text messages, make phone calls and GPS navigate you anywhere you wanna go at the same time". The extra effort it once took to kill two birds with one stone has become a part of the past. Technology has made it easier to accomplish more, with less work, but harder to concentrate on one thing at a time. And this may be one of the reasons many people around us, and sometimes we oursleves are not content with our personal circumstances, We've developed a tendency to expect alot more, alot more of the time - forgoing satisfaction, for supply on demand. But, when we choose our priorities and decide what is  most important to us, we can avoid the pitfalls of discontent and unhappiness by zeroing in on a specific focal point. Not so sure? Then try thinking of it this way; isn't it easier to overlook what you don't have when you get what it is you really want...? Now focus on what you really want.

newpost | Be Willing

by @troymonaco

A fulfilling life requires that you be willing to try new things. And by that I mean "anything" not "everything". You can't always do everything but you should be willing to try anything, No not everything that someone suggests to you, especially illegal or harmful. Just a willingness to try something you may not have considered before, or may have been reluctant to try. A new way of doing things, a new hobby, a different "favorite restaurant", a trip somehwere you've never thought you would want to go. You may not only learn something, you may acutally like it, in fact it could even change your world for the better. And the worst thing that could happen: you may ask yourself why you were so unwilling to try it before - and not have a good reason.

newpost | why a change would do you good...

By @troymonaco

A man became President using this idea. Countries found freedom from years of oppresive government by embracing this ideology. Evolution or Revolution, Innovation or Renovation, some things need to be changed if only to no longer be the same. in other cases "variety is the spice of life" and embracing change is to enjoy the taste. Some say nothing lasts forever, but why would anyone want it to...? Isn't that when boredom, repetitiveness or lack of better options shows up and you start dying for a change.

newpost | How to "not get" what you want...

by @troymonaco

Say what you want and do what you think, or do what you want and say what you think either way, just make sure you say what you mean, it is the difference between getting or not getting the things you really want. Pay attention; the people you hear the most about have made a point of making sure that everyone pays attention to them, their wants, their needs, their talents, their abilities, and in some cases their lack thereof, any and everything to capture your attention. No one would disagree that Kanye was out of line stepping all over poor Taylor Swift's moment but nearly everyone would agree that what he said was true (After all, Beyonce did go on to win video of the year which would in theory make it the best female video). So go ahead and kill the messenger but let's not lose the message. Sometimes the things you want to say should be exactly what you say. Just make sure you know what you're talking about or atleast mean every word you say.
